Spanish king abdicate

Juan Carlos I the old king of Spain abdicated the 2nd of June of 2014 at the age of 76 years old. The reason of his quit is because he thinks it's the moment to get his succesor to lead the royal crown because he thinks he has more energy than him because he's younger . He had been king from arround 39 years and after some injuries he had in the past his brain started to fail. He had been thinking about decision since the las Jenuary when he was reading the military easter and he failed reading it. So now he just gave the throne to his son Felipe VI.
